Minutes of the regular meeting of the Water, Light, Power and Building Commission of the City of East Grand Forks, Minnesota held August 2, 2005 at 5:00 P.M.

It was moved by Commissioner Ogden second by Commissioner Gregoire that the minutes of the previous meeting of July 19, 2005 be approved as read.

The following bills and payroll were recommended for approval:

It was moved by Commissioner Gregoire second by Commissioner Vetter that the bills and payroll be allowed as recommended and the Secretary issue checks for the same.

It was moved by Commissioner Vetter second by Commissioner Gregoire to authorize the preparation of plans and specs to bore Circuit #3 from the dry side of the dike on the south side of the Red Lake River to the Hangsleben J-box on the north side of the Red Lake River; and authorize the city attorney to review the original Corps of Engineer’s contract and meeting notes from the weekly Corps meetings.

It was moved by Commissioner Ogden second by Commissioner Vetter to offer the Water Plant Operator position to Mike Weisinger, and to reimburse him up to $1,000.00  moving expenses.

It was moved by Commissioner Ogden second by Commissioner Vetter to place David Willson in the first position on the Civil Service Eligibility list for the Water Plant Operator  position.

It was moved by Commissioner Gregoire second by Commissioner Ogden to authorize the attendance of two people at the MMTG annual meeting on September 23 & 24.

It was moved by Commissioner Vetter second by Commissioner Gregoire to declare miscellaneous computer equipment as surplus.

It was moved by Commissioner Ogden second by Commissioner Gregoire to provide temporary electric services for Catfish Days.

It was moved by Commissioner Ogden second by Commissioner Vetter to modify a previous recommendation for the Job Evaluation Study and follow the recommendation of the task force to hire Springsted, Inc. to do the study.

It was moved by Commissioner Vetter second by Commissioner Ogden that the meeting be adjourned to August 16, 2005 at 5:00 P.M.
